a.espo
Hello everyone: I am completely enamored with wheel throwing, and would like to give it a try. I am completely new and have never had the opportunity to try. I am from a small rural town and I have not had ANY luck finding a class around here. I have tried looking for studios, Universities just offer Fine Art, not even a hobbyist that I can find. Can anyone advise? Thank you so much for all your help! I live in Fulton, KY
Marcia Selsor
Other than studying from Dvds, maybe you should take some classes at the Appalachian Center for Crafts. They offer one week sessions in the summer. They have great facilities and room and board are offered to provide an intense working environment. Last time I checked, the cost was very reasonable. They are not far from Fulton. There are other places, like Penland, NC, Capbell, Odyssey, etc. Look for some that offer throwing. Marcia

Juanita Gilliam has been a teacher for over 47 years. She is owner of the Art Room in Paducah, KY which is just under an hour drive for me. Well worth the gas, so excited to finally get my hands dirty!
