Julie
Can anyone recommend an inexpensive compressor that is also on the smaller size. One that has enough pressure to get it done too. Thanks for the help & sharing Julie
MikeFaul
I started off with a small portable model from Harbor Freight. I still use it occasionally. The one draw back of something this small is that the tank refills fairly often, when spraying. But, it does hold up to continuous use. Be sure to check the oil periodically, and purchase some when you get the compressor. Don't transport it on its side or the oil will run out of its tank. If that happens store it upright for at least 12 hours before firing it up. http://www.harborfreight.com/2-hp-8-gallon-125-psi-portable-air-compressor-67501.html They also sell a basic HVLP gun in standard and detail sizes, although the cup on the detail gun is rather small... Get a regulator for each gun, I don't really spray past 30 PSI, and most pots are sprayed at or below 20 PSI... My collection of guns is getting rather large, I think I'm up to 12 or 14... Just make sure that the CFM rating at your target PSI matches up with that of your gun... Mike
MikeFaul
Too bad you're not closer, I'd let you have mine cheap, as we put in a whole studio compressor and lines...
