Diane Puckett
I want to put terra sig on greenware, bisque, then brush on and wipe off oxides or even black Lug underglaze to highlight texture. The one time I tried this, the oxide sat on top of the bisqued terra sig but would not soak in or even really attach to the pot. Suggestions, please? Marcia Selsor
Sounds like your terra sig sealed. Maybe try bisque firing to a lower temp. But then you may not get the desired look of the terra sig. Marcia
Chris Campbell
You are fighting the nature of terra sig which is to give you a beautiful smooth sealed surface. A good terra sig leaves no little holes for your underglaze to grab onto which is why it doesn't. You will have to get your look a different way. Diane Puckett
I was afraid that was the situation but was hoping otherwise. Thanks, Marcia and Chris.
