Tyler Miller
Graphene is combustible, being carbon.
Callie Beller Diesel
Graphene is a layer of carbon that's only one atom thick that they're trying to use for all kinds of things like creating fast charging car batteries, microchips, smart windows and touch screens. That's not something I've heard of any potter or ceramic artist ever using, especially given that the uses I've mentioned aren't widespread yet. Graphite occasionally gets used to transfer images for some surface decoration techniques, because as Tyler mentioned, it's carbon, and for the most part, it burns out with no trace at the temperatures that are prevalent in ceramic creation.
