missholly
what is the difference between manganese diox 325 mesh, 200 mesh and 60/80 mesh?
Benhim
200 and 325 are a fine powder that give an even coat of coloration in a glaze with little or no variegated effect when mixed properly. Where as coarser ground manganese such as 60/80 is made to give a variegated effect in either the glaze or clay body. Granular manganese as it's often called can result in flecks of metallic coloration as the grains melt out giving a mottled appearance to the surface of the pot.
