S3TH
I recently bought a used old Shimpo 21 wheel that's working great. I noticed when I turn off the motor it makes a weird sound as it comes to a stop. I believe it's in the motor as I don't have the rest of the wheel engaged (Metallic Traction Drive system), but maybe I'm missing something.Should I worry about trying to fix it? I'd rather catch it sooner if it could get progressively worse. Thanks for any help with this!
neilestrick
Old wheels make noise. You could try blowing out the motor or hosing it down with WD-40, but it's probably nothing, and even if it is something, there's probably nothing you can do about it that would be cost effective. S3TH
Yep you were right! I was told by someone that's used the same model for a couple decades that it's a completely normal sound for it and some other old shimpo's. Overall it feels built like a tank and I'm loving it
