Thanks so much! Do you also use a needle? An xacto makes such a clean line but it’s too awkward for me to draw with.

Oh I meant how long to wait after applying the wax to carve.

I have Forbes but have not had a clean line unless I use an xacto. Do you know if it makes a difference how long you let it dry before drawing through it? Maybe I’ve been waiting too long?

I’ve heard that a soy-based wax resist is the only type that can be drawn through with a needle (for Mishima) that won’t yield a ragged line. Unfortunately, the only soy-based wax resist I know of is Canadian and I haven’t found a supplier for it in the US. Does anyone know of a soy-based resist available in the US? If not, what about melting soy candle wax and brushing it on? I’d appreciate any advice/tips. Thanks in advance!
