Could this error be caused by a brownout? The reason I am asking is that this has happened before and I just restarted my kiln and it finished the firing by refiring. This time it read that it had reached cone 5-6 (by the hours it took). When I pushed the start button this time it was just under 800 degrees and it is now refiring... I guess I could have let it finish cooling down but the fan was not on... Any thoughts or suggestions? Thank you.

I have a E-23 electric Cress kiln that stopped firing at a certain temp (1500) I did the paper test on my elements and discovered that the top two, middle two and bottom two are not heating up (all others in between heated up) I was able to do a bisque firing without fail but it stopped firing approx 1500 degrees with the E-1 error. Here is the link to the diagram if it helps- https://3fs7rd1xi6sy2zofjv3g0a0q-wpengine.netdna-ssl.com/wp-content/uploads/E23ES23ET23ETS23-208-240-VAC.pdf Thanks so much - I have several orders I am trying to complete and could really use some expert advice here

This has happened one time before and with a brown out it does not always reflect on the clocks flashing etc. Sometimes it is just a temp flash. I restarted the kiln and it seems to be cooling down fine now... I will take your advice and check out the relay- Thank you for replying so quickly =)
