I have been taking ceramics classes at my local community college in the Dallas, TX area for the past several semesters and wish to continue once I move. I have been using stoneware clay (mostly hand built work, some wheel thrown) and high fire glazes and am looking for classes to continue similar work. Guest alabamapotter Posted September 22, 2011 Report Share Posted September 22, 2011 Hey, I'm sure there are some places in B'ham but since I'm from the Wetumpka area I know there is the Alabama River Region Art Center in Wetumpka. It has a web site at www.arrac.org They are in the process of buying new wheels and a slab roller. They haven't been open much longer than 6 months. They are brand new.
