From August 6 to 10 regional pottery icon Valda Cox teaches the weeklong workshop Wheel-Thrown Pottery at Touchstone Center for Crafts. Tuition is $495 for the week. All Levels are invited for this weeklong workshop amid the natural splendor of the Laurel Highlands. NCECA and Pottery Council members receive 5% off tuition, and Touchstone is offering 15% discount on lodging options for Summer and Fall workshop. Cost effective creativity! Valda Cox
has been a professional potter for more than 30 years. She is a graduate of Syracuse University, and a founding member of Penn Avenue Pottery in Pittsburgh Center for the Arts. Valda’s distinguished service and dedicated following of students are legendary--and in 2004 she was named Touchstone’s Artist of the Year.
