CALL FOR NOMINATIONS

At this time of year we ask all Members of Potters Council to consider running for a spot on the Board. We also ask any potter who is interested in a Board position to join us.

We need people who would rather find solutions than complain about the way things are. People who care about working potters and want to improve their chances of success. Members who have ideas and want to be part of a group who will make them happen.

 

You definitely do not have to be a well known name. You just need to care.

 

It really helps if you are an enthusiastic self starter who can express opinions and find ways to make their ideas a reality. This is not a place to sit back and wait for others to act.

 

Here are the time commitments:

We have one in person meeting at NCECA each March/April. Attendance is not mandatory but it really helps to meet your fellow Board Members and many other PC Members in person ... and to let them see you, talk to you and share their concerns.

There are three telephone conference call meetings through the year. These calls usually last about two hours.

We converse between meetings in a secure area of the Potters Council Forum.

Board Members lead a committee of their choice, come up with proposals and follow through on plans. They can even establish their own committees. They help and advise other Members as needed.

 

We need your willingness to consider problems, collaborate on action plans by brainstorming with others and follow through with any project you decide to take on. If you are the type of person who has opinions and wantsto do something positive with us, please contact me soon at chris@ccpottery.com.
