  1. Blue Bisque For Smoke Firing

    Thanks Chris. I must admit that I have never tried mason stains, but that might well be the way to go. Presumably I could add them to a slip in the usual way?
  2. My bisque ware which I subsequently smoke fire is naturally not fired higher than 950C. I have been trying to attain an ultramarine blue which would contrast nicely with the deep black of the smoke firing. But because of the low temperature, I find that using a cobalt slip does not fully develop the colour. Does anyone have any idea how I could achieve a deeper blue slip?
