This discussion of a spod substitute blend is interesting in another way. I personally and the studios I work with have enough spod on hand to meet our needs for quite awhile, if only because we don't use much of it. I even have some of the old Foote, as well as the newer Gwalia. What strikes me now is how reminiscent this is of the time the Gerstley Borate mine closed.
