Anyone Here Printing Your Own Decals?

Recommended Posts

Chris, you could try this method:

http://ceramicartsdaily.org/ceramic-supplies/ceramic-colorants-ceramic-supplies-2/pottery-video-of-the-week-how-to-combine-homemade-customizable-underglaze-transfers-with-paper-stencils-for-a-beautiful-layered-effect/

I just did this last week and it works pretty well. You could print your logo first on standard printer paper and then follow the procedure outlined in the video. The only drawback is that each transfer is a one time thing. If you're wanting to make multiples of your image, you're going to have to slog through it each time. But for other images, it could be a lot of fun. It has certainly opened up whole new vistas for me! ;)

Chris, I know that Paul Chenoweth here on the forum prints decals, but I do believe they are the iron oxide.  But check out his posts on the subject.  Amy, thanks for that link!  I have got to try that!!!
