Cavy Fire Studios
That is the best way to describe the smell my kiln gives off during a bisque. His name is Fred and HE STINKS. Thing is, it only happens during a bisque! Glaze firings don't smell in the slightest iota. Is it just that my earthenware is stanky to bisque? And, burned squash. I'd expect like rotten eggs if the toxic stuff was leaking out. HALP >.<
Callie Beller Diesel
It does sound like organic matter burning out, especially since it only happens during bisque. All clay has some.
