Workhouse Drink This!-Call For Entries-Deadline November 8, 2014

Hi Folks,

The Workhouse Ceramics Program is pleased to be once again sponsoring our annual Drink This! International Cup Show. Call for entries deadline is November 3, 2014.  This years juror is studio potter-Phil Rogers 


Exhibit will be on display from January 7, 2015-February 2, 2015 in the Ceramics Gallery-Bldg. W-8


Drink This! will showcase ceramic drinking vessels by contemporary artists around the globe. The focus of the exhibit is on the variety of ways artists explore the cup, in functional, sculptural, traditional and non-traditional forms.

A Skype session discussing juror decisions, etc. with Juror-Phil Rodgers will occur in January 2015 along with a mini-workshop for local High School students associated with creating drinking vessels.

Juror -  Phil Rogers

Phil Rogers is a studio potter residing in the Welsh town of Rhayader, and is known for his salt and ash glazed vessels, using locally sourced materials.   He has exhibited widely in the U.K., USA, Europe and Asia , and has works represented in over fifty museums and collections, including the Victorian and Albert in London, The Philadelphia Museum of Art,  Keramik Museum in Koblenz , Germany, the Inchon World Ceramic Center in South Korea, and Princesshof Museum Nederlands .  Rogers is a fellow and past Chair of the Craft Potters Association of Great Britain, member of the Royal Cambrian Academy and the International Academy of Ceramics.  He has published numerous books, articles, and films on ash glazes, throwing and salt glazing, and has presented lectures and workshops around the world.

This sounds very interesting and I don't want to be a pain but it took me looking IN the event to find where the event is located.  It sure would make it easier to know where the event is - and save me a lot of time - to know that first without having to click on anything or open anything.  After all, there are 3 pages of these!
