ChenowethArts
I've been using a glyph for some time now and agree with many who commented about anonymity if a name isn't also present. In retrospect, there are pieces floating around out there that I would prefer remain anonymous... at some point, however, I suppose I'll add a name to the logo/stamp glyph. Maybe I should requisition a shorter name first I do recommend www.4clay.com as a resource for custom clay stamps. Joel Socwell has done excellent work for me in the past with exceptional service. Stellaria
I just hate how writing my name looks. It bothers me a LOT. Plus I seem to have a natural aversion to signing work in the first place. The stamp solves that problem.
nihtscada
Once your piece is leather hard place a piece of plastic ( I use a ziplock bag) where you want your signature and use a dull pencil or the end of a small brush to make your mark. It looks nice there are no gnarly looking goobers.
oldlady
signing in damp clay with a ball stylus makes a clean mark, usually without burrs. if some occur, use a stiffish brush immediately. i am surprised that more people do not use them. they come in several sizes and are very useful. This is a good idea. I will have to go pick up a cheap stylus.
Colby Charpentier
A flat headed bamboo skewer is a great tool for signing, no burrs and a broad, distinct mark. Also, might I suggest a QR code to make repeat buying easier?
Marko
I used http://4clay.com/. They did a great job on my design. It was expensive but it does work really well.
