Beth Krah
Hello All, I'm working on an extremely large project and will most likely use up about a pint of luster. Do you know if it's possibly to purchase luster in bulk somewhere? There's got to be a better way than to purchase 237 2-gram bottles for almost $12K. Thoughts? Thanks! (and no, I cannot discuss said project, sorry)
PeterH
a) What is your location (what continent/country would you like your suppliers to be located in)? b) A quick google finds https://www.pottersconnection.co.uk/shop/19/index.htm 10% bright gold: 5gm at £72 & 50gm at £597 so only a 19% reduction for 10x quantity in this case ... I assume they would give you a quote for larger quantities, it might be helpful to have a price-point as you search further c) I hope you've read all the H&S advice. For example: Johanna DeMaine https://demaine.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/health-safety-and-overglaze.pdf Hulk
Hulk
+ on Health and Safety, PPE (Personal Protection Equipment), ventilation, etc. I'm seeing a few 100g options; New Mexico Clay, for example, $868 (US dollars). It's described as 6% ...looks like they also offer an 11% option, $1588 (USD) See also dbaoriginals.com - they have an 8g option, 10%, $149 (US dollars). Hope that helps!
