Bam2015
I am using Miller's Dover White and saving the scraps. Is there any easy way to reclaim it, or should I not bother? Thank you, Betty
Hyn Patty
I throw all of my reclaimed slip bits into cups or resealable food type containers based on what the clay is. One for earthenware slip, another for each of my porcelains, etc. I just add a little distilled water to let them rehydrate, then when these get fairly full I dump them back into my slip buckets and run the mixer until they reconstitute smoothly. Once in a while I check the specific gravity and make any adjustments as normal. I do watch for bits of plaster and keep the slip scraps as free of any possible contamination as I am able. Always worked great for me and never had any problems. Waste not!
