My show story:

I was accepted into a traveling show juried by Charles Counts back in 1980 or so. My piece traveled for a year. I happened to be away when the piece was returned to the University. Not one of my colleagues would pay the return shipping. It was sent off to Neverland. Never saw the piece again. I had been working with these people for 5 years when this occurred.

Ouch! I am so sorry to hear that Marcia: some people are just so oblivious!

Best regards,

Charles

My favorite story from a festival ...

A customer picked up a $35 item and asked "will you take $20 for this?"

I said no, he left.

He came back a few minutes later and said "how about $30?"

I said "for you, the price is $36 now." He left.

He came back a few minutes later and bought the item for $36.

Not sure I'd rate him as a "good" customer. More like a "smart enough to admit he made a mistake" customer :-)

Yeh, Mea, I'd agree with that...

I was thinking more in line with the fact that it was a 'good customer' coming back to purchase the item after you raised the price for him. Maybe that could also be looked at as a sign that you maybe could raise your prices!wink.gif
