Ben
I have glaze that is said to shiver on my clay, but still want to use it. Has anyone sucessfully added frit 3110 to their glaze to stop this problem? Thanks Shivering means that the clay is contracting more than the glaze. In order to help fix that we need to know more about the clay and glaze. What is the recipe for the glaze? What clay are you using? What is your forming method and firing routine? justin1287
hmmm, i tried 10 different experiments, of mixing the glaze with others, different layers, and frit levels......i couldnt get any of them to shiver....so, i guess its works with my clay body better than i was told by the glaze company........i even dunked them in ice water, boiled them, them back in ice water, and had no shivering!!!
