Hi , I have an old Podmore alsager wheel, its been restored in the past. What I would like to know is can I reverse the the motor as I am a left handed potter?

IMO looks like an AC motor that is non reversible.. hard to read most of the name plates in the pictures though but from what I see the answer is likely no, electrically speaking. Just a question does it starts easily on its own or do you need to give it help by hand?

Hi Bill, Its a 240v single phase DC permanent magnet motor made by NECO - does this help - It always has started on its own and smooth
