JoannaB 0
Hi, I have 05 bisqued pots that I want to put 06 glazes on. I have to fire in someone's kiln who normally fires at 05. Will 05 firing an 06 glaze be problematic? Thanks for any response..
liambesaw 2,766
Should be fine, low fire is a spectrum, there may be small differences in glaze when fired a little hotter than usual, but I can't imagine a glaze being too noticably different between cone 05 and cone
Min 3,439
Like Liam said it should be okay but if you're not wanting to chance it then just put a couple test tiles in this firing and see how they come out before committing your real pots. I'm going to delete your duplicate posts, retitle to reflect content and move this over to the Chemistry section, makes it easier to search for in the future.
