Slip Casting Question

Recommended Posts

I have had really good luck with setting things right-side up on a cheap old cfold paper towel and covering lightly if necessary. The towel wicks the water away and the bottom seems to dry at the same speed of the entire vessel while letting the ware slide a bit as it shrinks. It has worked for me and is simple while allowing the whole vessel to dry exposed to the air. I can throw something on the wheel and remove it to its permanent spot on top of the cfold towel until I am ready to trim.
