How long should slip stay in before pouring out excess

Recommended Posts

You can see the mold thinkness build up over time as the slip level drops -you may have to add more slip to the pour collar. use a plastic knife to cut into the collar wall to juge thickness-also use a timer so when working with a dry mold you can just time the wait next time. This is a learning process and you need to learn it as you have figure out how thick you want the form (we do not have all the info) it could be 10 minutes to 20 minutes -is the mold large or small -how dry is the mold and whats the humidity and temp of your location?
