Earthy Ideas
Hi, I was wondering if any one out there has used rubber cement as a glaze resist and if so, how well did it work? Thanks
Chris Campbell
Interesting idea ... I would think offhand that it would pull off too easily once you got it damp. Have you tried it since you posted this question? If it works it could be cheaper than using liquid latex.
AndyL
I use latex resists not rubber cement but it's certainly an interesting idea. Why not try making a few pinch pots and experiment a little with this??
Marcia Selsor
I use rubber latex from Amaco. If it gets dry it is tough to pull off. I found if I dampen it, it comes off much easier. I dilute it for a painterly application onto bisque.
