Chris Campbell
I'm not sure I understand your question. Are you saying the only technical difference between the two kilns is where they are made or are you talking a out two different types of kilns? Guest JBaymore
as an intended tile manufacturer, is it best using a locally made kiln or imported ones? as am writing a thesis on tile making... We'll need a lot more information to answer this effectively. There are a lot of variables that need to be considered in such a decision. For a few short examples: Where is the tile plant to be located? What is the scale of the overall operation? What are the technical qualifications of the staff and management? What kind of budget is involved? What are the technical characteristics of the particular tile to be produced? What potential fuel choices are available? What is an appropriate load turnaround for cash flow reasons? What regulatory bodies will you need to deal with? What regulations that might apply to kilns are in place? At a "thesis" level, you are likely going to need to go "deep" into this concept to be successful with your advisor /committee. best, .....................john
