High Bridge Pottery
Somehow I ended up learning about Stirling engines and now I want to attach one to my kiln. Who knew all you need is a hot plate and a cold plate to make them run. Seems like all the hot air kilns generate could be put to good use. Could this be a better way to recoup some of the energy than the usual heat transfer between exhaust and air intake?
MatthewV
Well.... sure. But the economics won't be favorable. So if it is just an expensive hobby... I have blue prints the Sterling heat engine I made as a student. It can run off a cup of coffee to power a flywheel. There might be a few missing bits that were CNC made; still drawn in SolidWorks but not on my PDFs.
