If it is reduction then certainly read Tichanes book of copper reds. If mid range oxidation glaze and it is a copper red then make sure you are adding the proper amount of silicon carbide or whatever in-glaze reducing agent is in the recipe. Chris Campbell said it best what glaze. How long is your firing also. You can burn out the copper if the firing is to long.
