JLowes
Greetings from the other side of the world, Natas Setiabudhi, You can add coloring stains or oxides, carbonates, to the terra sigillata, but their particle size is larger than the TS clay platelet and there will be some loss of shine. Try it out with some small amounts to see if the loss of shine troubles you. By ball milling the stain or oxide, you can reduce their particle size and keep the shine of the TS, but it may not be worth the effort or expense. Terra sig is applied the dry GREENWARE and then burnished. If you make the surface smooth when wet, it will be easier to burnish when you apply the terra sig. Marcia Selsor
Thank Marcia, Alain for replying. I really appreciate it... Apply to a dry surface. But smooth the surface when it is damp. Marcia
