  1. I purchased a pint jar of tourmaline (amaco potters choice) and applied with a brush. I did apply 3-4 what I thought were heavy coats- very sloppy. When it came out of the kiln, it is a deep forest green with absolutely NO float whatsoever. I work out of a community studio and do not have control of the actual glazing but everything is glazed to cone 5-6. Any thoughts? Since no float appearance, did I still not apply it heavy enough or is it a temp issue with the kiln?
