Looking for some advice. I am breaking down my studio in Colorado and will be moving to Barcelona Spain and setting up a new studio. I currently work at a ceramic supply store and get a 25% discount. My question is should I buy anything while I am stateside with my discount and bring things in suitcases over to Spain? or should I just get everything when I get there? One of the first things I would like to do is build a kiln on the rooftop. Are there items that are difficult to get there? Recommendations on where to find used equipment? Hi, I plan to move in the next year or two, and I wanted to know if there are any great ceramic communities that I should know of before I choose a city/state to move. I currently live in Ohio but I am willing to move anywhere in the US. I just need a new environment and I prefer to be close to a ceramic community. Fellow potters, I need your expertise: I'm part of a potter's guild and we're in the process of moving everything to a new space - our kilns, our chemicals, our tools, and our already-mixed glazes. Most of it is pretty easy (in theory) but I am hoping some of you might have some insight on moving glaze buckets - or at least making them a little lighter and hopefully easier to move. Does anyone have any tips or tricks to getting the water out of a glaze, relatively quickly, without compromising the integrity of the mixture?
