The basin for a ceramic fountain I made seeps water from the bottom. When I leave it on a towel, it's damp after a few days. I'm looking for recommendations for how to seal it properly, and for any specific products I could use. Would I have to fire it again?
Hello, First things first, I have in my kitchen a 'French kitchen' type installation. Its kind of whole wood box set against a wall. This box is topped with a ceramic block to provide the work space. The ceramic block has two drilled out spaces, one for fitting the stove on one side and the other for fitting the washing sink. Now to the problem. The ceramic block fits against the wall and its is filled with tile paste (i don't know its name) to cover the tiny space between the ceramic top and wall. The side which has the sink has the problem that the paste eroded away and water keeps leaking down that tiny space to the box down below with all the kitchen ware inside. I tried using the same paste to cover it properly but the problem persists after some time. Another problem is with the sink fitting. The sink is fit tightly around the cut block space against the ceramic edges. Now apparently there is a tiny teeny space between the ceramic edge and sink so when ever i do the washing water leaks through that. These two problems are giving me a lot of problem keeping the insides clean. I tried to get suggestions but all i get is recommendations for the same kind of pastes. Please help, what should i do?
