  1. Hello everyone. So I glazed a piece and it ran....so now the piece isn't sitting stably. I created a wooden base for it to be able to sit comfortably in, but I need an adhesive to attach the glazed piece to this wooden base. Does anyone know of a glue that I can use to achieve this? Thanks in advance!
  2. Thank you all so much for all of the information! It's appreciated!
  3. Hey there everyone. Looking to purchase kiln. Kind of a beginner with kiln info and know absolutely nothing about the inner workings of setting them up. Need some feedback on what would be a good starting model that won't be super expensive. I'll be using and firing mainly cone 6 clay and glaze.
  4. Alrighty then! Thanks so much for the responses! We'll see how they turn out!
  5. This is a great thread! Just got palladium to try out, but wondering if it would be a problem firing it on 05 bisque ware? Just seeing that it's preferred at 04.
  6. Thanks so much for the responses and advice everyone!
  7. Hello, So I've been looking into making my own raku kiln out of an old oven. My dilemma at this point is that there's an exhibition coming up at the end of the month and I'm doubting if I'll pull it off before then...and if my pieces will survive my experimental firings. The clay is midrange- 60 I think (has brown speckles when bisque). I'm considering just letting someone else with an electric kiln fire them for me, but their prices are $100 for each firing....so I thought maybe I'd just let them glaze fire my pieces to save some funds and I trust the electric kiln to get the desire
