I know this is a long shot but does anyone know why a Cress FX 27 P kiln's start button keeps popping out? KIln heats up but only of i keep my finger on the start button.

  I think your Cress has the same timer as my Skutt. If I turn the timer to the max time my start button will pop out after it has been set. I just set it forward a little and I don't have that problem. I don't really need the timer I watch the firing until it is over, the kiln won't operate properly unless it is set. Denice
