Are these going to be headed for the Raku kiln? I can see them looking great pit fired too.

I'ld love to have that much space, what a great kiln shed!

Love it!

Very clever honey dipper, nice. Have you ever made them with the end like a traditional wood honey stick with the grooves?

@Farid, just wondering if you had a comment or question about your glaze blisters in this photo? Didn't see any other posts regarding the glaze problem.
-
Did you figure out what they are? I did a google search and some fruit / compote antique pieces came up. Sort of similar but not really, curious to find out what they are.

Oh, (or should I say Om) that turned out super well! That printer opens up a huge range of possibilities doesn't it?....hmmm going to have to think about getting one. Maybe I should buy one for my husband and he can figure it out ; )

Your work is lovely! Makes me think of Martha Grover and Chandra DeBuse.

what a lovely studio you have!

I meant to make one of those years ago. I got as far as cutting out a plexi circle then somehow forgot about it. Thanks for the reminder.

looks like getting all those lotus petal tips to line up around the bowl would have been a lot of trial and error. do you use a compass?

Way to go Kaylee Moore!
Good on you Marko.

they are all lovely but I think the glazes on this one makes it my favourite. handmade form with natural wood like tones (sorry, bad pun) seems to suit the piece very well.

i think Min is referring to the style or lip that Robin Hopper shows in his several books.
Is it there? I can't remember? It's something I've been doing with spouts for so long I don't really think about it. Kinda thought most potters do this?
-
Yes, something less flared at the top, perhaps just a small rolled rim.
Ummm, a rolled rim on a pitcher might turn into a dribbler. A sharp edge to cut the flow of liquid is a good idea.

Glazes look lovely.
I think with the spout you have a couple things going on there, it could be a bit smaller as Nerd said but I also think it is angling down too much also. I would try pressing the side of your finger ever so slightly inwards and upwards just outside the lip at the same time as supporting the lip on the inside with another finger. Gives the spout a little lift and refines the shape of the spout. Do you think the body of the piece is wide enough to have a rim opening that size? Think I would play around with the proportions of the body versus the opening at the top. (if I knew how to add a picture here to explain the lip thing I would ) -
That's a really pretty texture on this one Lee. I like how the glaze is breaking so nicely on it.
