    Mixed up a porcelain and stoneware body with the high iron clay from the old brick yard. Already fired 100 gram samples, now for the 1000 gram samples. For some odd reason I sprinkled some 50 mesh grog in: get out of my head John.

    Mixed up 200lbs.,CR2 cone 6 porcelain: let the crystals begin. Going to mix up 50lbs., of cone 11 "wood fire" porcelain next weekend. Tested the cone 11 last year: does strange things :)

    Got to spend a couple of hours picking the brain of a local glass artist. Gathering info on fusing glass onto fired porcelain pieces.Perhaps late this spring I will make my first attempts.

    Loaded some rare earth combinations this morning. Have never really tested them to any degree. Doc has be sidelined, bored to tears.

      Lots of Calcium chloride over and under sodium dichromate. I haven't fired the zinc chloride yet. Snowing again. Brought in the materials from the kiln shed to fabricate the chamber of mt raku kiln. Too much to do, so little time.

    Mixed/pugged 200 lbs of C6 porcelain with oxide additions specifically for crystalline glaze. Curious to see if adding crystal enhancers in the clay produce larger crystals.

    Finally put twelve pounds on the wheel, my first time over 5-6 lbs. my final conclusion was: I would rather make clay than throw it. Turned out - so so.

    Have a poundeach of macaloid and VeeGum-T coming. Test these for now and figure out a technical grade later.
