The Valley Fire wiped me out. Been to our property and our whole neighborhood is destroyed. I lost all: three wheels, three kilns, 400-500 pots, etc... I can replace my equipment and materials but my pots... that's where my big loss is because I can only claim cost of materials. All my hours of work and potential earnings are lost. My house/studio was burned to the ground in the Valley Fire that started very close to my home. Our street was the first to go and my area is totally destroyed. 75% of the homes in my little town are gone. I had over 300 pots ready for fairs and of course, all the pottery we use daily. I am now an official member of Potters' Council and I put up my artist portfolio. Next Saturday is the opening of a show I'm in (with 7 other potter/sculptors) at a gallery on the Mendocino Coast. And I just added listings to my etsy page. I'm finally feeling like an integrated part of the greater pottery world instead of going it by my lonesome.

Help! I posted a new album on 6/30 (6 pics) and now, poof!!, all gone. I know the pics were there because quite a few people commented on them. All comments and likes are now floating out there in the ethernet. I don't know who or where to report this.

I'm new to CAD although I have been working with clay for 45+ years. Recently retired and am back to throwing pots all year (~20 hrs a wk). Been working on some new styles using bright colors, sgraffito and firing to ^6 (after working at ^10 reduction since '70). Just posted some pics of my new work. What do you think? I'm doing some craft fairs and in a few galleries.
