Very lovely texture!! I am very tactile so I wish I could pick them up.
-
That (shino?) glaze you used is perfect!!
-
I like these, the designs around them look like they are "happy". It makes me smile.
:) Thank you! I think of flowers, and rays of the sun, when I make these.

Very nice steady hand. It is cool how you have transferred your slip trailing skills to the carving skills. Very, very nice work!
That's funny, I never thought about the two being related. But you're right! Hand-eye coordination is hand-eye coordination no matter what you're doing. I'm better at icing cakes and cutting with scissors now too. LOL

This is your signature piece kiddo. If I walked through a showroom of work without labels: I would automatically know this one was yours. This is the type of work that separates you from others: and you need to nurture it to its fullest application. That said, that also means it sits on shelves apart from other work. It also means the price is higher, because I know the hours it takes to produce it. Being able to "balance" a piece is an art of itself. By which I mean, the placement of the glaze, including colors, along with detailing does not over power or diminish the form. Sometime in the future when you write your book on this technique: i expect a signed copy..

This color is such love <3
I love the way it behaves over texture. :)

This reminds me of Art Nouveau. I like this style better than the wildflowers, but I am biased towards Art Nouveau.
See, I love these too, so much. And at my recent show the wildflowers nearly sold out and nobody bought the paisley! I kept moving them around to be more prominent and highlight their positive qualities but nobody was interested! LOL

And I will have to find the picture of the bowl I did this summer, that looks almost identical to yours!! A lovely green with slip trailing on the inside and out. But I think your trailing is much nicer than mine!
I would love to see your bowl!

I have those Xiem bulb things but aren't they are pain to fill with the slip? I have used them with trailing glazes and those are runnier than my slip.
I don't use the nozzle thingy to fill them, I just squeeze the air out and suck up the slip, then wipe off the outside. Not too bad.

This came out really pretty!

Very nice! The look is great!

Very nice slip work!! I have done a little, but have some problems with the applicator. What do you use?
I use a Xiem precision trailer. I would be happy to PM you with tips and suggestions on using it if you'd like!

Your love of slip trailing is strong. I see it growing and you will have much to be thankful for. I enjoy seeing your talent grow. Bellissima!
Thank you, Marko!

Got it! and that explains that.... I am just use to seeing a much higher standard in definition from you- threw me off.
Oh, you have me pegged. Normally I make the slip trailing as high profile as possible!

I like where you are going with these pieces. I do however believe you need to highlight the detailing; fades into the back ground too much.
Thank you! This is meant to be a plain piece that can coordinate with my more highly detailed, high contrast work that I make in collections. This is the closest to no decoration I can bear.

See, these photos look wonderful here, I wonder why they blur slightly on Insta? I love the nesting pot, I made my first set of three I will trim Monday! (:
I don't know! Instagram always does that to my photos and I'm not sure why.
It'll be cool to see your nesting bowls! These weren't made to be nesting but they fit so perfectly together I couldn't resist.

I really like these. I love the feeling of depth that the multiple layers and techniques gives these mugs. Well done, Paul!

This is a show from last year but I still have the display.
-
if you thumbtack a piece of white cotton to the back of the stepped display unit it will remove the distractions of the huge room full of people and let buyers see your pots.
Oh this is brilliant! Thank you!

Ooooooooh!
-
you have been VERY busy!
I pretty much just stopped sleeping and brushing my hair so the extra work was no problem.

Clarice Cliff, watch out!
Whoa, whoa, exalted comparisons! LOL I first heard of Clarice Cliff from a book called Fast Women by Jennifer Crusie. She talks a lot about English art pottery as part of the story. This was long before I was "in" to pottery myself. Very interesting and talented woman.

Went through all your most recent gallery posts. Excellent eye for color, and even more so for "balance." Good range of color, and most are easily mixed and matched. You have arranged your pieces in an "inventory" manner: able to check stock levels, and availability.. My conclusion: a professional potter has been born I have zero doubts about your success.

Tom,
I've probably said this before but you have an absolute gift for giving incredible compliments. I'm just beaming with delight right now. Thank you.

I am LOVING the green! Throw some super tall cups, mugs, pitchers, or vases! That will help the height problems
I will for next time. But I don't find the pitchers or vases are particularly hot sellers. It's all about the mugs at these shows. And online I sell totally different stuff!
