Yes, glad to see some new work: very nice.

I learned to avoid this a while ago. Now when my wife takes off say 5 days from work. We schedule a 3 day vacation and rest 2 days at home after the 3 day beach trip. The go go go of vacation can wear you out. Particularly with kids! Hope you get feeling better@!

Yes, absolutely! I am much better, still just have a small lingering cough. -.- Back out in the studio today. I did not rush it as it never works anyway and the stress actually lengthens the amount of time I'm sick. There is NO POINT in trying to be out there when I'm shaky and sick.

We took a eight day vacation to Arizona this year. It was a relaxing trip but still had 2 days of rest when we got home.

I have a few photos of the orange/peach poppies up in my gallery if anybody wants to see. I am still not sold on it so I'm going to run some tests with each color interior paired with poppies in peach, orange/peach, and orange so I can compare them all. I have a feeling that some will go better together than others.

I think galleries use the information when they cary an artist as part of their permanent gallery artists. This makes it easier to answer questions from customers. I think it is pretty routine. I recently had a gallery "not bother" with gallery sheets, and then I got a panicked email from a gallery sales person wanting information about how I made a particular piece. I prefer galleries that keep that type of info in their office. That's is why they get paid 50% if their sales pers...

It isn't that they wanted information about how the work was created, I was just a little stumped by a resume requirement. I'm entirely self-taught. Thank you to everyone for the response. As I mentioned to Tom, I want to be 100% fine with hearing NO and not take it personally. Denice: that bothers me. What does a degree have to do with the quality or kind of art you make.

I hope I am not irritating any of the lovely people who have art degrees when I say that. It's just that either your work is of a high enough caliber for a show, or it's not. I have seen plenty of low quality work made by art school graduates so it really should rest on the work itself more than anything else, should it not?

I think you are on the right track, Giselle. The bulk of my sales are during the holidays. So,I should probablys start making ornaments NOW!! I am glad you started this thread. Makes me think.

I think people make the bullet journals way to complex. It should really be something quick that you spend like 10 minutes a day on. But yea I have no idea. I have never made one. Thinking about trying it this school semester.

Hm. Maybe I should research "SIMPLE bullet journal". Since I tend to make things complicated anyway simple is GOOD. Let me know if you try it, Joseph, I'm curious how they work. I definitely could use something to be more organized. Too much going on in my mind at any given moment.

Instead of throwing yesterday I hung shelves and moved furniture in my son's room. (??) So I am throwing today. I'm very excited. We broke our last mass produced bowl and I REFUSE to buy more so that is going to happen first today. I'm not going to do a crazy amount of finish work so I can make four of them without causing myself any issues later in the week.

I will keep an eye on it though. So far this last one is the only one that has had us coughing, the other two were just runny nose and sore throat. No fevers or anything serious. Just intensely annoying.

Joel I woke up this morning and realized I glazed twenty things in one color, was done with that color and design .... except I forgot *one* pie plate. Fortunately I haven't fired yet.

I've gotten pretty good about cleaning as I go but before I switch I check everything. Still sometimes I get a smear or two. Oh well. I've been practicing throwing off the hump with little shot glasses, then slip decorating them. I'm about to upload them if you want to see. They're still just green.

I was throwing off the hump AND throwing on my friend's raised wheel. I want to try it at home and see if it goes better.

I am going to be glazing a bazillion pieces of bisque and then starting a cycle of white clay, which I slip trail. Soon! I may even post some YouTube videos. I'm trying to find a really good tripod that I can angle the right way over where I'm working.

Thank you all for your kind comments. I am so pleased with the last kiln load ... at least ... It misfired so half the kiln load is perfect and the other half has bubbling and crawling. But I honestly would prefer that than there being something slight wrong with every piece!
