  3. Awesome stuff little rodent. i love the terra cotta look too. I am always trying to find a low fire glaze to use in raku that has that color. but so far the ones i have tried are just ugly brown. yep, museum quality. rakuku

  5. Hey, anybody just dump a beer in their obvara brew? seems like it might jack it up quickly but what do i know.

      yes, I have thrown a beer in the brew once or twice to make it fizz some more. It works! and it doesn't smell bad ;-)

  7. well i loved loved loved doing the obvara. thanks marcia for advice. several of us did it and we have a bunch of addicts. others got some spectacular results.

      obvara? just finished an intense workshop with the Las Cruces Potters Guild. Successful Obvara, Saggar,^1 Soda firingl, Raku, and horse feathers plus throwing demonstrations. Whew! heading home after a lecture on The Fulbright Experience at NMSU Las Cruces campus

      Not exactly sure on the problem. Does the finder window open? (think it is called explorer on windows) The choose photo button on the forum should still be in the same place.

      Send the photo to yourselfvia e-mail from I-photo in a smaller size -then I drag it to the decktop and then you follow the photo instructions on FAQ page

  15. getting ready to try obvara. made some textured heart shapes. i am trying to get some other people interested so we can try it out. thanks Marcia for advice. as soon as the pieces get bisqued i will make the brew. rack

    here is a product of yesterday's naked raku one step. pink terra sig. i added more alumina hydrate to the slip and we got the right amount of adherence. rakuku
