So, guess who got her pottery juried into a gallery for an animal charity event? This rodent! 20% goes to charity and the rest is for me. SO PROUD.

After 12 years, and a month waiting on parts to repair my wheel, I finally got my hands back into clay and threw three good things. Pardon my French, but it felt bloody good.

Yay, I went to my first craft market today. My wife and I had a great time. There was only about 15 vendors, but I was the only potter. I sold almost everything and even got some commissions. I want to thank you all, for your kindness, acceptance and support. Along with all your great advice I was able to feel confident that I could do this. Went to the bone doctor and got a shot in the tunnel. Carpal tunnel, that is, nuk nuk nuk. Feeling better.

Pretty bummed at the moment. I just found out that Jillian Johnson, one of the casualties in the Louisiannna theater shooting, was a Design Major my first year here at Belmont U.

I'm dying to get back in the studio after two weeks sick. I have glazing, throwing, recycling, and lots and lots of cleaning to do.

1500 pounds of clay..mixed, pugged, de-aired, and packaged for 'mellowing'. Sing it with me: "You load 16 tons and whadaya get, another day older and deeper in debt..." (yep, I just told my age again).

Surgery Tuesday to replace my entire right knee. Rehab began yesterday. It looks hopefully be released today. Will work the old flywheel kickwheel into rehab routine when I can. Oh the drugs are so good. Sings "what a drag it is getting old" ( showing my age too)

Car is packed and ready to drive to Touchstone tomorrow to get set up for my workshop. It promises to be about ten degrees cooler there!

It's been wet, hot and humid here lately. And very little wind to cool down with. I got my fan and an exhaust ceiling fan going and it still get around 90 degrees. But I plan to make some more mugs and fire a small load starting tomorrow evening. When it is cooler. How's your weather?
