My clay creation was interrupted by a HORRIBLY abscessed premolar whose root canal just about killed me, but it's 74F today, my tooth's finally shut up, and it's terracotta throwin' time!!

Pretty bummed at the moment. I just found out that Jillian Johnson, one of the casualties in the Louisiannna theater shooting, was a Design Major my first year here at Belmont U.

For the first time in MONTHS, I was able to wedge a whole 25lb bag of clay today! Poop on you, arthritis!

So, I went to the local dump to drop off some recyclables, and the dude running the place gave me a MOUNTAIN of fatty industrial BUBBLE WRAP for FREE! He's giving me EIGHT huge boxes of peanuts, too! My shipping's gonna be good for years!

Seems like I cannot add a profile photo still.

Some of you awesome folk have worried about Guinea, but I'm alive. Been a bit too sore for clay lately, but I've been drawing a lot. I have lots of new ideas for clay stuff, too, when my joints feel up to it. I wanna get funky!

It's been wet, hot and humid here lately. And very little wind to cool down with. I got my fan and an exhaust ceiling fan going and it still get around 90 degrees. But I plan to make some more mugs and fire a small load starting tomorrow evening. When it is cooler. How's your weather?

This just might be the year I wish I had air-conditioning. However, my highest power bill, this yr. is $27.00.

Fired two glaze kilns today-was in the 90's around them as the day was a hot one. Two day cool now-hoping for fog

Found a new glaze I like, that matches my base glaze. A deep red with speckles of black where it breaks. Also switching to frost porcelain so lots of new changes. Testing TIME!

Busily photographing 75 items so I can list them online. It's hard to resist the deep pull to make more new work especially now that I can handle the finished pieces and see each thing I want to change. I'll post more works-in-progress and also pictures of my finished pieces today and tomorrow.

You know you are on the wheel too early in the morning if you dip your sponge into your coffee rather than the water bucket #JustSayin

Trying to get everything finished and some things possibly shipped before June 10 when I leave for Tuscany V. Since we've had no one post on the thread besides myself and Holly, I am convinced there are no members of this forum coming along.

Working on a graphic novel, and one of my peoples have a South American-flavored culture. Been doing some research on how the natives made pottery--lots of terracotta and erotic pots. Slip and terra sig for ages, too.
