      Make up some magic slip for your joints.

      No worries with slabs. Just let them dry evenly and slowly. Put them together, so they hold their weight enough, without being too dry. And smooth/ round the seams well.

      When I roll out slabs I usually cut the shape I want then let them rest for a while to firm up. Less soggy to handle, especially with larger pieces. Also, a clay with a little grog in it helps. Less warping and firms up better.
