Way to go Lee! By then I should have my testing done on sealants for the interior of raku pots and vases. I'm going to be trying rubber based materials like clear FlexSeal to see if I can waterproof my horsehair and other raku pieces...

I think an artist needs sometimes to do this, make the courageous submission rather than playing it safe. A different venue might have taken them.

good for you!   if you really need some clothes, the thrift shops around here put everything in the store on sale for 50 percent off each monday.   when the original price for jeans is $5.99, you can see why i have a pile of them.   got a cashmere sweater for $5.00 last week.

Must say I am humbled by the generosity of my fellow forum members. Parts will need to be reviewed to ensure that the chemistry can be digested easily enough. Here is an example from the glossary:
"Extensibility: the measured distance clay can be extended without rupture and the force ( yield point) required to extend it. More commonly expressed as " short" or "fat" clay in relation to its elastic properties."

Hey--don't knock it. Having a money job to fuel and support your dream job is smart--creativity put into practice throughout your endeavors.   Add business card/letter holders--people love them as gifts for people who have a desk at work or for their retail store card at the cash register.  Trust me on this!

My landlord has been wonderful about allowing me to install the electric kiln (closed in back porch) & a studio (was the bedroom) in my trailer, but there is not an inch of space to spare & I'm not permitted to do anything out in the yard.  I did get my pieces done though, & will bisque this week.
