Hey!  Yeah those studies should be priority.   My business is great this year, combining the jewelry and pottery.   Running about a 50% increase in s ales.   I would say I'm close to peak sales now.

TY Denice. We did our usual, had a local eatery cook up all the food and deliver it. That way, we get to sit around and visit without anyone having to actually work.

I think they are reasonable representations of wood fired pieces, fresh out of an electric kiln. 

Losing John was almost as bad as losing Tom, I know he is still out there in the world but it still hurt. I don't want to make it seem like Tom's passing is any less poignant but it feels the same.
 

As you know, spent the last five years almost exclusively studying, developing, and testing clay. This spring I will actually start making a few things. More than interested to see what my " bleeding" clay does. I have not revealed that one yet.

for the record: running a kiln full of test tiles to test various results qualifies you for being a NERD.  Welcome to the club.

It is the main reason why I love ceramics. I mean I love the peacefulness I get from creating things and the meditation it is for my body and brain, but there is nothing like opening a kiln full of beautiful infinity possibilities.

Seeing new experiments come out is the best fun.

good time to plan for the next steps you want to take.  drawing what is in your head, checking if you are prepared for actually working with clay when it gets warmer and you feel better.  

I have spoke to a bunch of people who had a miserable holiday  break including  myself and  my husband.  My husband told me yesterday that he couldn't wait to get back to work at least he gets paid for being miserable.  The gray skies and extreme cold doesn't help.  I am still down and out from my MS relapse,  I have two half finished pots in my studio but they are so cold  I don't have a problem with them drying out.  Denice

My neurologist has me on oral steroids to help me heal faster,  there is a chance for some kind of lasting damage.  What ever it is I can handle it,  I am a tough old gal,  I can still walk like a drunk and I am sure that will get better.   It's a good thing I didn't have any big plans for Christmas.   Thank you for your kind words.    Denice
