  1. i do not have a cell phone and use this forum a lot on my laptop.  over the weekend a friend first entered the forum while i was there and  i saw that on her phone, nothing showed except what she was typing.  NOW i understand why new people do not enter their questions in the right place.  they never see the entire screen as shown on a laptop.  if you are new, you are missing a lot without a large monitor.

  2. roses.  ordered some that will come next week.  first crocus out of the ground today!    (but i know winter is not over)

saw 3 foot high pile of snow in somebody's driveway today, several smaller piles in shady areas.   will be warmer this week so maybe i will get into the studio soon.

  3. it is snowing.  first of the year!(nobody counted the hard white blobs that hit my windshield last week)

won't stick, temp too high but it is pretty.

  4. ok, all you computer literates and gurus.  i have been "paused".  i do not know why or what it means but i cannot even access my other email account.  any ideas?  my daughter was going to help me set up an etsy shop and then this happened.

If you are using Windows10, Msft just did an update and it slowed down my computer phenomenally. It seemed like it took forever to do anything, even shutting it down. What I did was go to the restore point (which took just short of forever) just before the update which happened Tuesday morning. Then what happened was the computer was still "restoring the registry 12 hours later. I did a hard shutdown by pressing the on/off or I/O button and held it down for at least 5 seconds which shut the computer down completely. I waited for a couple of minutes and turned it back on and all was well with the universe. It seems like a scary thing to do, but it happened to me about a year ago with the same update situation and I spoke with my nephew who's an I guy and he told me what to do then and it worked just like it did this time around...

thank you, johnny.   i didn't explain this situation well.  my daughter had some time this evening and she walked me through apartial solution.   there is more to it and she is going to contact someone at facebook tomorrow.

somehow somebody set up a facebook account for me using part of my name, a photo of my work and put my birthdate as april 30, 1994.  funny, right???   no.  because i cannot set up a facebook page now.

  8. i am proud to be an oldlady. though not very ladylike, i like the fact that i am old. since i died on an operating table at the age of 33 i have made a lot of pots, some good, some OK. i hope i have hammered the rest. still a beginner, will always be a beginner, every blob of clay can become anything and so is a beginning.

I love it! :) Maybe I can start being proud of my gray hairs instead of plucking them out. They were earned, every one, from being a mom. Like little silver worry medals. ;)

  9. you are not that far away. let me know when you are going to bake something fantastic. i will be happy to try it out for you.
