Had to take the decision to move out my studio, a little sad but going to keep working as much as I can from home.

The problem was I loved the experimenting and not the selling. Can keep experimenting in my small test kiln at home while I work temp jobs and get some money behind me.

someone asked me to make a garlic shredder which was unfamiliar to me. I looked online and bought one to study. Does anyone make them and if so, what do you use to make the "bumps" that do the shredding? Thanks

Yea it was a nice spot but the rent was going up and I had been struggling to keep up with it already. I will figure out a way to make it work
Still got the gas kiln and a stock of bisque to keep me going.

Finally going to be firing with my power burner tomorrow, had a month with no free time at all
let's hope it works.-
Had it open and I managed to crack about 25% of the pots. It did go from room temp to 400c in 30 min on the lowest setting. I need a smaller burner for the very start I think. All cone 9's and 10's down except right at the flue where cone 10 was starting to go.

Made it to 1200 but all cones were flat on the top, think my thermocouple is out of wack. Still needs a bit of fine tuning but it worked!!! As long as the results look good tomorrow when I open it.

Only been turned on for half an hour and already 400c. Far too quick but it is as low as I can get it. Hopefully the pots can take it.

Picking up 3 stoneware and 4 porcelain clay bodies Tuesday: along with a list of modifiers. It is time to put to use what Ron roy taught me.

Packed up and delivered about 350 pots.

My husband was on TV yesterday for the NSF news conference in brownsville, Tx re; the discovery of Gravitational Waves. He works at the Center for Gravitational Waves Astronomy. He is still very excited by the discovery.

I thought Community Challenge #5 would be a cake walk because I am a tile guy. After seeing just a few posts, I am getting very very nervous. Forgot how talented the people are in here. Do judges take bribes?
