So I got busy and made three sinks for a house I am renovating. This past week I loaded them up and bisque fired them. One of the three survived the bisque firing. The good thing is I know how to efficiently make two more. Must allow more drying time for 1/2 inch thick ware this time..

Omg, I'd let thar puppy dry for at least a couple weeks, with a fan blowing on it for a week! Then, a 12-hour preheat with the slowest bisque, EVER. Last time I made something super thick, my bisque cycle was around 35 hours. It survived with flying colors!

35 hours Guinea?!!! I can run three of my "Careful the stuff is kind of thick/ damp" bisque firings in that amount of time.

I spent over a MONTH sculpting that piece--you bet yer shorts I did that firing in 35 hours!
