More wood firings Updated
I recently participated in a wood firing at the red lodge Clay center #rlcc,
using the train kiln fired to ^12 and firing down in reduction for several hours to about 1900 F. I used several glazes and flashing slips as well as Helmar porcelain, Coleman porcelain, Babu porcelain and Death valley clay-a heavy iron bearing clay. I am very happy with the results.

Pots seen during travels in Spain Updated
Recent trip to Andalusia and Extremadura .in Western Spain. I saw many pots originating in locations I had visited during my Fulbright research in 1985-86. Sadly many of these locations no longer have traditional potters. Spain's entry into the European Common Market, severely effected the production of traditional Spanish handmade pottery. It has all but disappeared.

My Studio, marciaselsorstudio.com Updated
I moved from Montana to Brownsville, Texas in 2006 and established this studio by 2007. I built my dream raku kiln and bought 2 new electric kilns. I spent several years researching ^6 oxidation glaze development while continuing to do saggar and raku firings. Recently focusing on Alternative Firing Techniques using 2 raku kilns for the past three years.
